I’m a german and i live in united states around 1 and a half year. Sorry my english is still not perfect. As we removed here we bought a Panasonic home theater. Because we had the same already in Germany. It was very beautiful for around 4 Months, then the DVD/CD-Player goes down. Unfortunately we don’t buy a extra warranty. OK, it was our owe. In Germany we say : learning by doing. We went to best buy and bought another one. It works very good until today. This morning i bought 2 new CD and want to play it at home. I putted them in the CD-Player and the same with the first device: it doesn’t play. Loud voices like a train, no function with the select-buttom, just the radio has done. Afternoon, we gave it back in best buy for the next one. Back at home connect the device and the same problems with the CD-Player. 3 Devices 3time the same problems!? It comes when the companies let make all thinks in China. Cheap, cheaper,
bull….Never Panasonic. I`m very dissapointed from the cheap plastic gears.it’s just enough for the trash

So I bought this surround sound today and I do like the sound quality! The display looks kind of out of date seeing as how it’s a 1080p HDMI capable system. but set-up (once I followed the directions and not just pictures# was easy! Now this product got the best of me since the price at the NEX #navy exchange# was 279.99. So i thought it was a steal but they don’t include the HDMI cable, nor the wireless transmitter #sh-fx70) a 150.00 plus product for the “wireless rear speakers”. I specifically chose this for the simplicity that It has “viera link”; a common (easy setup) feature between panasonic televisions and home theater systems. So learn from my “excited overlooking”;
Add the HDMI cable – I purchased mine for 25.00 from target and the brand is General Electric.
Add the SH-FX70 – Cheapest I found was 150.00 on Ebay.
to your final pricing if your going for the wireless rear speaker set-up. If you don’t mind the cords running around then just add the HDMI. I like the IPOD dock it has. It’s pretty cool and you can use the remote to choose what song. No videos from the IPOD though. It’s kind of a bummer to have to drop the cover on the front of the main unit to access the exhange button in order to choose between which cd/dvd you want to take out or put in because if you just open the disc changer it only allows you to change the first. If you push it in to try and access the others it will atuomatically close all of them. I thought there was a button on the remote control but nope!

this product did not meet my need if you are trying for a dvd player with surround sound it is an ok product but can not get regular tv sound to come through surround sound speakers and does not have any additional hookup for other devices the setup details were very hard to follow and misleading but it works fine as a dvd player but its a high cost for just a surround dvd player

This was a pretty good surround system. The only thing upsetting is no reception of radio. I asked for assistance, but was only told to check position of antennae. Anyone else have this problem?, or any other suggestions out there?

I have done a lot of research and comparisons before I purchased my home theater system. Because I already had a 50″ Panasonic Plasma screen, I bought this for the Viera Link feature so I could sync the remotes; I love how easy this was. The whole set-up of the system was easy. For the money, you can’t buy anything better with an amazing sound quality.
