These are the perfect addition to my HD TV. The controller can easily be set to control everything. Big sound.

I’ve been a Bose fan over the years, having owned the Bose 901′s, 501′s, Accoustomass 5 Series II system, and most recently, the Bose noise cancelling headphones – all speakers and the headphones met or exceeded my expectations. However, the Bose GS series II system has been an immense disappointment. The quality of sound is mediocre, and I would have returned the system had I purchased directly from Bose and not from Amazon. With the exception of a bit more bass, there is no noticeable difference from the Bose GS Series II speakers to the sound produced from my Sony 46inch XBR TV speakers. Sorry Bose – I’d like to endorse this product but cannot do so. I’d recommend consumers save the $799 for the GS series II and look for other options.

Pricy but excellent. Ok, I think that there are probably many quality simmulated surround 2 speaker systems out there. I did not take the time to do source them so but I read a lot of reviews on available systems. First, be clear that a good 5.1 or higher system would do as well but I wanted the clean symplicity of a two speaker set-up on my 52″ Sony XBR. I have had Bose speaker systems for many years and have never been disappointed in quality and reproduction. The system comes with a universal multi-componant remote (finally the Mute button on top row) but I have not used it but for control of the unit itself. Hook-up was easy and the sound is excellent of course. The system does a good job in simulating surround even in our large room with walls covered with pictures, tapestry hangings etc (hard reflective surfaces best). The powered bass unit pumped lows nicely. I knew the room posed challenges and thought Bose presented the preferred system off the shelf. Very pleased with the results. Like I said, you might do as well with another system but there is no doubt this one performs to standard.

Works good for Bedroom size 11 ft by 12 I have a 46inch samsung LCD and the sound from this system sounds like stereo to me not much for surround sounds.
If you want surround sound I would try something different. The nice thing is that you don’t need a Amp to drive the system but you don’t get the full surround sound effects either.
I rated this system a 3 for sound because of the surround effects are not very good.
Amazon is a great place to buy items from I’ve never had a problem with them.
